Welcome To The 37th Annual Lake Placid Summit Classic

As we get closer to the start of the 37th edition of the Lake Placid Summit Classic, we want to revisit / highlight some key info to help ensure your team’s experience is a great one. First and foremost, please make sure all players are registered to your squad within League Apps. Through this simple but mandatory process, they’ll sign our waiver, which is a requirement of all PLL Play event participants. This is also how we communicate with participating athletes.

Below, you’ll find the steps to do so along with details on the tournament schedule, field/facility information, and more pertinent info.

✍️ INDIVIDUAL PLAYER REGISTRATION
All teams are required to have each and every player registered for the Lake Placid Summit Classic. This is a requirement for all players who wish to take the field. This is also the primary way we communicate to attendees during the event. So please encourage your teammates to get this done. We will be sending out critical event updates via League Apps. We’ll also be communicating about things like giveaways on site. Any player who isn’t registered will not be receiving these updates. We need all Scholastic athletes registered by July 27 and all Adult players by July 29.

How does registration happen? It is the responsibility of each team director to get into his or her League Apps dashboard and send the roster invite to each member of his or her team — it’s an easy process detailed below. Per our PLL Play event rules, all athletes planning to participate at the Summit Classic must sign our waiver and be registered in advance of the tournament to ensure that each team’s roster and eligibility requirements are met. Non-registered athletes will not be permitted to compete.

✅ Registration Process
Team Directors: Use this link to log into your LeagueApps account and navigate to your Admin Dashboard.
Locate your team or teams and click “Roster.”
There, you’ll be able to find and copy a team-specific link and then share it with your participating athletes so they can complete their individual player registration.

🅿️ PARK LIKE A PRO, GO WITH THE FLOW
We have to carefully manage parking at the Summit Classic. We encourage attendees and their families to carpool as much as possible during their time at the tournament. Ongoing construction by the parking lot and in the surrounding facility might result in a temporary reduction in parking spots during the event.

Understand that ANY CAR PARKED ILLEGALLY WILL BE TOWED at the owner’s expense. Please follow road signs and parking signs to park in the proper designated areas.

Some more tips from the operations team:

Arrive to the venue no earlier than 45 minutes before your scheduled game time. This will make your parking experience much easier.
Again … CARPOOL — PLEASE! Carpool with teammates and friends every day that you can.
Games are intentionally spaced to allow teams to flow in and out of the venue, enjoying time offsite in between matchups, and to manage on-site capacity and convenience. We encourage you to play your game and then go hit the town or the lake!
Follow (and respect) parking signage and staff to keep lots safe and accessible. The Town intends to closely enforce parking restrictions (to include cars parked along the road leading to the fields). It is essential that we protect emergency vehicle access to the fields. Again, we don’t want anyone towed.

📆 SUMMIT CLASSIC SCHEDULE UPDATES
We appreciate your patience as we’ve been adjusting the schedule for the Lake Placid Summit Classic tournament where necessary. A number of divisions can expect additional changes and we will be reaching out to those teams directly with details.

The LPSC Scholastic and Adult schedules are published on Tourney Machine and can be found on the Sports Engine Tourney “Tourney Machine” app. The links can be viewed here:

Adult Schedule

To help team directors and attendees understand our schedule, we are sharing the LPSC Schedule Guide (linked here), which provides visibility to the logic and arrangement of each division at the tournament. Please review both your game schedule and the guide before you head to Placid. As always, schedules are subject to change and we do our best to communicate those changes to all impacted teams.

🏞️ THE LAY OF THE LAND
This year the Lake Placid Summit Classic boys tournament will utilize three facilities: the North Elba Athletic Fields and the Horse Show Grounds in Lake Placid and the main turf field at nearby Saranac Lake High School.

Please see the linked field maps below, which show the field layout and parking areas.

The ceremony begins at 7 p.m. Tickets and additional information about the ceremony can be found at the event’s campaign page. All proceeds from the event go to the Legends of Placid Lax via PLL Assists.

📖 THEM’S THE RULES
Please review the Lake Placid Summit Classic official tournament rules before the event. Specifically, please be sure to understand our rules as they relate to eligibility. You can read them at the link here. The rules along with additional key information can be found on the PLL Play Tournaments site.

⛔️️ NO DOGS ALLOWED
While we’re talking rules, we want to remind everyone that there are NO PETS allowed at the North Elba Athletic Fields, the Horse Show Grounds or Saranac Lake High School. Please ensure you have made alternate arrangements for your pets for next week. Seriously, we are not allowing dogs on site. This summer we’ve seen incidents involving trained, leashed pets that have resulted in personal injury. No pets will be permitted at any venue during LPSC.

🛒 OFFICIAL LAX PLACID GOODS
On site at the Lake Placid Summit Classic, you’ll be able to purchase official event merchandise that will only be available at the tournament. We encourage attendees to check out our selection of goods upon arrival as quantities are limited and items in Lake Placid usually sell out. Some examples below:

🌦️ FOLLOW YOUR FORECAST
While we’re hopeful for great weather in the ADKS, we know anything can happen. We do encourage LPSC attendees to use a smartphone weather app or Weather.com to monitor the conditions each day. We ask that athletes and spectators alike please prepare accordingly. In the event of inclement weather, we ask that only team directors visit tourney headquarters to inquire and communicate about potential impact to the schedule.

🤝 PLL PLAY SUMMIT LACROSSE SOCIETY
Familiarize yourself with the PLL Play Summit Lacrosse Society and the three pillars of camaraderie, competition and respect, which over the course of decades have helped us create and sustain a constructive culture at our events — starting at the Lake Placid Summit Classic in 1990.

🌐 GOOD CITIZENSHIP
Additionally, we ask that you respect the fields, the facilities, the businesses you visit and the place you go. We love this part of the world and want to keep coming back each year. We can only do that if we leave it better than we found it. Please be good citizens out and about and in the villages of Lake Placid and Saranac Lake and the surrounding Adirondack Mountains. Our operations team lives by the principles of “leave no trace.” A good rule of thumb: Take only photos, leave only footprints. We ask that everyone pack out any trash that they might bring in, whether it be orange peels or beverage cans.
