A NEW STAGE FOR GIRLS LACROSSE.
Something girls lacrosse has never had before.
It's here. An experience unlike any other.
The WLL Junior Championships brings the full Junior Championships experience to girls lacrosse. Developmental training camps led by WLL professionals. A live draft night where athletes find out which junior WLL club they'll represent. A championship weekend at a WLL venue. And a championship game streamed live on the ESPN app. We're giving the next generation of girls lacrosse players a stage that's always been missing, until now.
This inaugural year is open to high school grad years 2032 - 2034.
This is a first-of-it's-kind experience developed by the women playing the game at the highest level.
“I'm so excited and honored to serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the first-ever WLL Jr. Championships! This event is such a fun and meaningful way to create more opportunities for young athletes to compete, connect and experience the game at a higher level. I love that it gives these girls something bigger to dream toward - showing them what's possible and inspiring them to keep chasing their goals.”
— Ally Mastroianni, California Palms
PART 1: TRAINING CAMPS
Training camps are where the WLL Junior Championships journey begins. Athletes train alongside WLL professionals, receive direct coaching and evaluation, rep an official WLL x Nike gear kit, and compete for a spot in the inaugural draft class.
Training Camps will include:
Standardized teaching from top coaches + WLL pros
Dedicated positional + skill training sessions
Coordinated offensive + defensive concepts for game play
Evaluations to determine skills, strengths, and ability
Opportunities to meet WLL players and learn from their stories
PART 2: The draft presented by Whirlpool
Players selected into the player pool after training camp evaluation will get picked by junior WLL teams in a draft on PLL's YouTube channel in either February or March, 2027. The draft features some of the biggest names in the sport and premieres each division's rosters for the WLL Junior Championships tournament happening in 2027.
Create your very own draft party to celebrate your big night and tag @wll & @pllplay to get featured on our social media channels!
“I'm excited about the launch of the WLL Junior Championships because it's a chance to connect with, teach, and inspire the next generation of girls lacrosse players. As a player in the league, it's special to help grow the game and show young athletes what's possible both on and off the field.”

PART 3: CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND
The WLL Junior Championships tournament takes place during the summer alongside a WLL Game Weekend. Players are outfitted in full Nike gear kits by their respective teams. The top two teams will compete on the same field as the pros, streaming live on the ESPN App. The unique experience will mimic an actual game weekend for WLL athletes, and will be something attendees will never forget.
